Forget what you think you know about the Nashville music scene. Prepare for the other side of the musical spectrum with Cashville’s own oFISHal. FISH as he’s known throughout the southeast, is the new merge of explicit partying and hip hop. Born and raised in the city that’s home to Music Row, oFISHal is a city slicker with an un- measurable amount of rap talent. FISH’s passion for music isn’t in simply rhyming, but rather through celebratory hardcore expressions.
It would be impossible to stand still with a FISH record blasting through your speakers. College kids across the board are hammered in calamity over this artist’s unique musical offerings. oFISHal’s style has been described as disorderly conduct over heavy hitting production.
oFISHal cites his musical influences as Rage Against The Machine, Eminem, Young Buck, Starlito, and Three 6 Mafia as far as artists go. “I feel like I’ve been influenced more by production though, honestly. The whole D. Rich / Shawty Redd movement really influenced me as a teen, as well as Drumma Boy. I have been a fan of electronic music/dubstep for a while. And, I also played in a metal band as a teen, with influence from Classic Rock as well. ”
FISH has consistently dropped banger after banger with his budding catalog of mixtapes including “Cigarettes & Solo Cups,” “Shotgun,” hosted by DJ Smallz and “F.I.S.H. (Fu*k It, Sh*t Happens) hosted by DJ Rocksteddy x DJ Hollywood Oompa x DJ Logan Garrett. If you think FISH’s music is incredible, wait till you see his live performance. Known for tearing down the stage and starting a rap riot, oFISHal has performed along side of Juicy J, Starlito, 2 Chainz, and more.
FISH describes his hip hop work ethic as follows, “I do something to benefit my career everyday. I put the studio in my house so I can record whenever. I try to make calculated moves. It’s a 9-5 for me. It’s a job. I’m the underdog. I put on for the fucking partygoers. For the Savages, the Animals. The people who just don’t give a fuck. I’m not trying to be the best rapper ever. I’m just trying to make dope records and do crazy sh*t.” oFISHal’s next big project will be “Animal” which drops April 23, 2013 and is expected to exceed all expectations. One thing is for sure, if you’re already a fan you’ll be an even bigger supporter. If you’re not a fan get ready to change your mind and jump on board! The Prince of The Club is just getting started, and nothing will get in his way as he heads straight to the top of the rap game. - S.J.P
"The most important portion of life would be our “techniques of survival”, and in “Money Over Fame”, produced by Black Jeruz, B.$tack$ explains his own understanding of survival, with a unique and fresh street sound. In fact, he revisits his memorable past, reminiscing about dreams and building self-ambition. $tack$ brings along his N.C. comrade, the lyrical King Mez, who stamps the track with his own experiences. Validating his ability to teach true life street lessons thru pure hip hop, B.$tack$ places this track at #15, concluding his latest project, the Root Of All Evil mixtape, hosted by Don Cannon."
